She has developed her own Malay lessons and taught more than 35th non-Malay speaking students. A LITTLE ABOUT THE CULTURE :-
~ Malaysia is made of 3 an official nationalities : Malays 60.3%, Chinese 22.9%, and the Indians 6.8% of the total population. Major religion in Malaysia is Islam and Malaysian Malay are Muslim : Islam 61.3% , Buddhism 19.8% , 9.2% Christianity , Hinduism 6.3% , Confucianism 1.3% .
* Malaysian Malay use the patronymic (father’s name) as the last name. Bin (son of) is used for Malay Muslim males, for example Rodzuan Bin Zaharudin. Binti (daughter of) is used for Malay Muslim females, for example Siti Najla Binti Rodzuan.
* Malaysian Hindu males use “A/L” - Anak Lelaki (son of) for example, Gopal A/L Krishnan and for Hindu females, "A/P" - Anak Perempuan (daughter of) for example, Dayaja A/P Vellu. The full names of Malay and Indian are written like this on Malaysia birth certificate and identity cards.
